    I am a professional photographer who owns and operates a photography business in Bemidji, MN.   For more than 40 years I have been capturing images on both film and digital. 

    Photography has always been a major influence in my life, dating back to childhood.  I was in 4th grade when I was given my first camera and took my very first photos.  That same year my father bought  me a developing kit  and I was able to  processed my first roll of black and white film,  the future seed was set.

   Upon graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1976, I began my professional career in photography with National School Studios (currently Lifetouch) in Chicago, Ill.  After a short time in Chicago, I returned to Minneapolis  and spent the next 15 years involved in commercial photography, specializing in advertising, catalog, industrial and product photography.

    In 1993 I migrated north to Bemidji and opened a studio appropriately named North Winds Photography which provided commercial, family, senior and wedding photography---and  I always welcomed any challenges that may have arisen.

    In 2006, after 13 years in Bemidji, I closed my doors and spent the next 15 years in Arizona, North Dakota and Texas continuing in the line of commercial photography. 

   The year 2021 has now brought me full circle, back to Minnesota and back to Bemidji where I now reside and continue my love and passion for photography.
